Tusa was one of the world’s first scuba equipment manufacturers, started in 1952 in Tokyo, Japan by Kazuo Tabata with the goal to provide their users with innovative equipment of the highest standards.

Kazuo manufactured his first dive mask in his garage at home, and even then insisted on using the best quality materials available and had a huge commitment to quality.

Tusa were the first company to introduce crystal (premium) silicone mask skirts with the original Liberator model. They are also well known for being the first manufacturer to introduce scuba equipment in a range of bright colours and still have a reputation of offering the most colours and most comfortable masks in their range today.
