The Huntmaster Speargun Muzzle Bungee is a piece of equipment that offers you many advantages when spearfishing.
First of all, keep your shooting line under a small amount of tension to minimise the chance of the line coming off the speargun before firing.
When you fire your shaft and miss the target, the shaft itself will come to an abrupt halt when the shooting line reaches its maximum length. This abrupt halt is not good for your gun as it sends a shockwave throughout it. Here, the bungee comes in handy as it acts as a force-absorber that dampens some of that force.
If your target is a big fish, the muzzle bungee reduces tension on the shaft and the line when it hits, reducing the chances of tearing the flesh of the animal as it reacts.
The Heavy Duty Muzzle Bungee is made with an internal 2mm white soft Dyneema line, which allows it to have around 500kg of breaking strength, ideal for bigger and stronger fish.
Furthermore, it's manufactured with higher-quality silicone tubing, which has various advantages compared to traditional latex tubing. One of many is that silicone offers more quality and durability than latex, as it is resistant to negative chemical reactions to heat and deterioration that occurs when the speargun is left under the sun.
