The Mares XR 1.8m SMB is a completely closed cell Surface Marker Buoy that is available in two colour variants: orange for general positioning use or yellow to stand out in emergencies. This SMB is 1.8m long, 15cm wide and it will provide up to 12kg of lift.
The Mares XR seams are all welded and double stitched for strength and integrity, the top end is marked with SOLAS reflective tape for added visibility and also features a small pouch for wet notes.
The other end of this SMB is equipped with an over-pressurisation valve with manual release to prevent it from rupturing during ascent, a one way inflation valve that will accept a BCD/Drysuit LP inflation hose (or oral inflation), strong webbing and a stainless steel D-ring anchor point for reel, finger spool or clip attachment, as well as a bungee loop for rolling and storing the SMB when not in use.
