Many dive sites are only accessible by boat. You probably even already dived from a boat yourself. Yet, different dive centres in different countries use a wide variety of different boats. These range from small inflatables to large liveaboards.
By taking this course, you will get yourself familiar with the basic terminology of various boats. You will learn about boat diving procedures and etiquette, including how to enter and exit, and where to stow your gear and, lastly, you will acquire knowledge on boating safety, including how to locate safety equipment.
Get started today by reading the PADI Boat Diver Manual (79170). Then schedule to meet with your instructor for the boat dives to put your newly gained knowledge into practice.
Course prerequisites:
- PADI (Jr.) Open Water Diver Cert (or equivalent)
- Minimum age: 12 years
