If you dive often and love to make repetitive dives a day, then you will benefit heavily from diving with enriched air. But honestly, even if you only dive every now and then, nitrox has a lot of advantages for you. It increases your no-decompression time, which means you stay down longer and are back in the water sooner.
Nitrox is air that has been enriched with oxygen and therefore has lower nitrogen levels. The Enriched Air Nitrox Diver Course (70470) teaches you how this affects your bottom time and maximum dive depth. In the practical sessions you’ll discuss managing oxygen exposure with your PADI instructor and practice analysing oxygen content in your scuba tank.
Schedule your practical training with your PADI dive centre, for after having completed the knowledge development. Your PADI instructor will also talk to you about enriched air equipment considerations for your scuba gear.
